The real lip balm — order yours.
The Breathe Easy balm was made to soothe your lips and your mind. The spinning ritual on this app is the digital half of the same idea — give your hands something to do while the balm gives your mouth something healthy to reach for. A quiet breath of fresh air to replace the not-healthy with the healthy.
Why hand-and-mouth rituals help
Smoking isn't only a nicotine habit — it's a body habit. Researchers have shown that the sensory and behavioural parts of smoking (the hand-to-mouth movement, the pull, the something-to-hold) drive a large share of cravings on their own, independent of nicotine delivery. Rose and Behm's work on the sensorimotor components of smoking, and Hajek's withdrawal-oriented therapy, both point to the same conclusion: replace the ritual, not just the drug.
Public quit-programs echo this. The CDC and the American Lung Association's Freedom From Smoking guide both recommend keeping your hands busy (spinner, worry stone, pen) and your mouth busy (lip balm, sugar-free gum) whenever a craving hits. That's exactly what this app + balm combo is built for.
